The router arrives with factory default settings when you purchase it. It is there for the easy access. After setting up the router the first thing you should do is change Netgear router password default. Here’s how to reset it.

Steps to change the default password:

 Visit a web browser from any connected device.

 Type myNETGEAR portal in the search bar.

 You will see the option of forgot password. Click on that.

 Then, click on reset password.

 You will be sent a verification code on your registered email address or phone number.

 Enter the code and type the new password.

 Click on submit to save the changes.
